Установка модулей из Xposed Framework

Для того, чтобы начать увеличивать возможности Android, необходимо найти и установить нужный модуль. В Xposed Framework скачать модули можно в меню «Загрузка». После установки модуля необходимо полностью перезагрузить Android.

Пример установки модуля CPUFreq in Statusbar:

1. Переходим в меню «Загрузка»
2. Выбираем необходимый модуль, который вы хотите установить
3. Устанавливаем данный модуль
4. Возвращаемся в главное меню Xposed и переходим во вкладку «Модули»
5. Активируем только что установленный модуль
6. Перезагружаем Android чтобы все изменения вступили в силу

Usage

Install APP and Xposed Module

Open VirtualXposed, Click on the Drawer Button at the bottom of home page(Or long click the screen), add your desired APP and Xposed Module to VirtualXposed’s virtual environment.

Note: All operations（installation of Xposed Module, APP）must be done in VirtualXposed, otherwise the Xposed Module installed won’t take effect. For example, if you install the YouTube app on your system (Your phone’s original system, not in VirtualXposed), and then install YouTube AdAway (A YouTube Xposed Module) in VirtualXposed; or you install YouTube in VirtualXposed, and install YouTube AdAway on original system; or both of them are installed on original system, neither of these three cases will work!

There are three ways to install an APP or Xposed Module to VirtualXposed:

1. Clone an installed app from your original system. (Click Button at bottom of home page, then click Add App, the first page shows a list of installed apps.)
2. Install via an APK file. (Click Button at bottom of home page, then click Add App, the second page shows APKs found in your sdcard)
3. Install via an external file chooser. (Click Button at bottom of home page, then click Add App, use the floating action button to choose an APK file to install)

For Xposed Module, You can install it from Xposed Installer, too.

Open Xposed Installer in VirtualXposed, go to the module fragment, check the module you want to use:

Reboot

You only need to reboot VirtualXposed, There’s no need to reboot your phone; Just click Settings in home page of VirtualXposed, click button, and VirtualXposed will reboot in a blink.

What did rovo89 do to get Xposed working in Nougat?

New releases of Android sometimes bring changes to the way ART works, which may require parts of Xposed to be reworked. Android 7.0 Nougat introduced a Just-in-Time compiler for ART to help improve runtime performance of applications, for instance. But the unofficial Xposed Framework by abforce simply disables many ART optimizations so that method hooking can work correctly.

Install VirtualXposed APK on Android devices

Install Xposed Module on VXP

Xposed is mainly for installing VirtualXposed. This is the only way through which one can install this Framework without rooting the device.

1. Before beginning, you can find the list of Working Modules from Settings> Recommended List.
2. Firstly, open the Apps drawer.
3. You will see an Xposed installer installed already on VirtualXposed.
4. Open it.
5. Go to the Menu> downloads section.
6. Search the Module that you wish to install.
7. From the Modules section, enable that module.
8. Now reboot the VirtualXposed app from the Settings.

Once rebooted, you will see the module working!

Install App’s on VXposed

Using the Yalp store, one can add any app from an installed version or also from third-party sources i.e., APKs. These apps can also be updated using Yalp.

1. Firstly, go to Yalp Store from the app.
2. Then tap on ‘Check for Updates’.
3. Click on ‘Download‘
4. Then hit Install.
5. Now go to the Menu.
6. Then go-ahead to ‘Add App’.
7. Confirm your action.
8. You can now add an app from the already installed apps or just click on the + button to install Apks.

Just note that Modules that modify the System will not work on VirtualXposed. Thus, system modification is something that one cannot do using VXP. Also, resource hooks are not supported on this app.

Why does Xposed development take so long?

The magic behind Xposed—what allows Modules to hook into methods of other apps—requires deep knowledge of how Zygote and the Android Runtime (ART) works. These requirements already preclude a large number of people from contributing to the project, but the problem is exacerbated by the fact the rovo89 has been the main contributor to Xposed for the past 5 years.

That’s why calls for open sourcing his modifications made to Xposed since the last public release of Xposed have been denied. It’s his brainchild, and he’s the best at understanding it and modifying it, so adding more manpower onto the project at such a late stage could simply delay the project further.

Plus, if rovo89 continuously updated his source, that someone would take the unfinished code to build a semi-functioning Xposed Framework without the universal Xposed Installer to accompany it. (This exact thing happened anyways with the abforce implementation, and the resulting mess of various installation methods justified rovo89’s hesitation.)

Thus, the best thing we could do was to give rovo89 time to work on his pet project. Xposed is not his full, or even part-time, job. It’s simply a hobby, one that he’s done for the benefit of the community for 5 years. A project as complex as Xposed requires time to work and then test—time that he didn’t often have due to his other obligations. Progress was being made over the past year, just as rovo89 documented in a few of his public updates on the issue until finally both the Xposed Framework itself and the Xposed Installer are ready for release.

How to Install Framework from Xposed Installer APK

• Keeping a data backup is better in any case.
